A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you delete an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a lot of features, but it’s remarkably user-friendly, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a few mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated plan with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all feature for a mailbox, you’ll need to click on the symbol with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this feature can be accomplished in the same fashion and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a particular domain, you’ll get a warning alert. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never change or deactivate any feature automatically.
